Terms of Service
Last updated · June 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Margaux. They're deliberately short and plain. By using Margaux you accept them — if you don't, please don't use the service. Margaux is operated by Marko-Petro Hankevych, a sole proprietor (enskild näringsidkare) in Sweden.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or otherwise using Margaux — on the web or in the iOS app — you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you're using Margaux on behalf of someone else, you confirm you're authorized to accept these terms for them.
2. What Margaux is
Margaux is an AI personal stylist. You tell it about yourself and your wardrobe; it suggests outfits and pieces to consider. It's currently in beta, which means it's a work in progress: features may change, break, or disappear, and it's provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
Margaux's suggestions are generated by AI and are for inspiration only. They are not professional advice of any kind, and product details, prices, and availability shown may be inaccurate or out of date. Use your own judgement.
3. Your account
You're responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping access to your email (and Apple ID) secure, since those are how you sign in. Give us accurate information, and let us know if you think your account has been compromised. You must be at least 16 to use Margaux.
4. Acceptable use
When using Margaux, you agree not to:
- Upload content you don't have the right to use, or that infringes anyone's rights.
- Upload unlawful, harmful, or abusive content, or images of other people without their consent.
- Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or scrape the service.
- Use Margaux to build a competing dataset or model, or resell its output as your own service.
- Misuse the AI features to generate unlawful or deceptive content.
5. Your content
The photos you upload and the answers you give are yours. You keep all ownership of them. To run the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to store, process, and transform that content — including sending it to our subprocessors for tasks like garment recognition and image generation — solely to deliver Margaux's features to you. This licence exists only so the service can function, and it ends when you delete the content or your account.
6. Our intellectual property
Margaux — its name, design, software, and the look and feel of the app — belongs to us. These terms don't grant you any right to our branding or code beyond using the service as intended. Outfits and suggestions Margaux generates for you are yours to use personally.
7. Disclaimers
Margaux is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its styling suggestions or product information will be accurate or suitable for you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Margaux and its operator won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including under mandatory Swedish and EU consumer-protection rules.
9. Termination
You can stop using Margaux and delete your account at any time via the in-app Delete Account control, which permanently erases your data. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms or misuse the service. On termination, the licences you granted us end, and your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
As Margaux evolves out of beta, these terms may change. When they do, we'll update the date above and, for material changes, give you reasonable notice. Continuing to use Margaux after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
